What is the best Triple Baby Stroller?

If you have triplets or if you were blessed enough to have three small children, then you will be happy to know that there is such a thing as a triple baby stroller.

Moving around with 3 children can be very hard, investing in a good stroller will reduce some of the stress of doing errands.

Scroll down if you just want to see my personal recommendation.

The different versions

Triple baby strollers are either tandem inline strollers with each seat in line behind another, or side-by-side strollers that accommodate babies seated beside each other.

Obviously, tandem strollers are way more practical, which is why they are so popular today.

Here are the 2 different “versions”:
triple baby stroller differences

Generally triple baby strollers come with the ability to either be rear facing or front facing.

Usually, parents prefer to push the younger ones around facing them. As the children get older, parents can start to push them facing the other way around.

Some strollers can convert from traditional stroller seats to bassinet seats, while others come with stadium-stacked seats for a shorter stroller with babies seated on three different levels.

How to choose the best triple baby stroller

1. What surfaces will you be using it on?
Consider where you will be using the stroller. Mostly indoors, outdoors, on rough terrain or on paved roads, etc…

Some strollers come with different sets of wheels that you can switch depending on where you will be going that day, but this isn’t very user friendly.

Your safest bet is buying a stroller with “All Terrain” wheels, they’re slightly more expensive, but you won’t regret it!

2. Brakes
Get a stroller with good brakes (please) triple baby strollers are heavy!

A lot of people underestimate how much these things weigh, you absolutely need strong brakes.

3. Stability
Children move around, and you will have 3 in the same stroller.

Buy a stroller that is made with high quality materials, you don’t want it falling apart after 6 months.

4. Safety harness
Check if the stroller has a safety harness, the “5-point harness” is the safest choice.

5. Height
Even tho most strollers nowdays come with an adjustable handlebar, still have a look at the measurements before you decide to buy anything. It might be too big/small for you or your partners frame.

6. Storage space
3 children means that you will be bringing 3 times the amount of accessories, make sure the stroller has enough space to meet your needs.

So what are the best triple baby strollers?

We have tested a lot of strollers and (in our opinion) these are the best manufacturers:

  • Peg Perego
  • Baby Trend
  • Baby Jogger
  • Inglesina
  • Joovy

All brands have their own impressive strollers with their own features (scroll down for my personal favorite).

How much will a triple baby stroller cost me?

These strollers are expensive, it’s a big investment. It’s something you will be using daily, so unfortunately you can’t just get the cheapest model.

The cheaper models retail for around $ 200, but if you want a stroller that will last you and that will really make your life easier, then you’re looking at a $ 400 investment.

My personal favorite

Out of all the strollers I’ve tested, this one was my favorite:

Joovy Big Caboose

  • Very easy to put together
  • Easy to fold
  • Great for twins, twins + toddler, triplets, or three young children
  • Front seats have two recline positions, adjustable footrests, two child trays and two car seat adapters
  • Linked parking brake and large storage basket

  • The price, it is expensive
  • It is big and heavy, it will be workout if you will be walking long distances

You can’t really go wrong with this stroller, it has all the safety features and accessories that you will ever need. I think that this is the best price/quality stroller that you can currently buy.
