I probably would have freaked out too. He looks a little scary.
I wouldn’t have rushed to him, but I would have played along for the photo. His makeup is a bit on the freaky side. But he’s the Mad Hatter, so I guess it’s true to his character.

That is a particularly freaky Mad Hatter. Last year when Santa visited my 3-year-old’s nursery she declared: “I don’t want to talk to him. He’s strange.”
He is very freaky but it’s not just the makeup. It’s the pose!
