This is what happens when parents who both have poor eyesight.

We went to my daughter’s school for their English Day program earlier this week and just like all the other parents, we were prepared and brought along a camera and a video recorder. We were seated at the back seats and couldn’t get a clear sight of the stage. How am I going to see my daughter perform from where I am?

The program started, the curtains were raised. Hubby didn’t waste time complaining about our seat situation and stood up, walked near the stage and did his part. He took the VCR and the digital camera because I would be useless since I’m too far.

Pristine sort of hosted/narrated the KG1 presentation by introducing the songs, in her cute little voice, unnerved and using the microphone like a pro she said, “KG1 will now sing Row your boat” and three other songs. I was so proud of her I could cry!

When we went home and saw the pictures, I was shocked that half of the photos don’t have Pristine in it! Instead, it was her classmate standing at the leftmost part of the stage. Hubby took several photos of that girl.

Pristine was at the right most!

Couldn’t blame him, the other girl looked like our daughter. She even moved just like her - but don’t all pre-schoolers do? We had no choice but to be contented with the photos he took just when the program was finishing and the time when it came to his senses that he was taking photos of the wrong girl!

Next time, I would smack myself if I forget my eyeglasses again.
