After going to the gym for a week, I have re-educated myself on the importance of cardio exercises. Before, I’ll run for 50 meters and feel like dying. No kidding! I would cough and feel I couldn’t breathe. 50 meters!!

I started to run again after the New Year and noticed the changes. From 50 meters to 100 to 300 and now, I can fully run the jogging course of 650 meters without feeling deprived of oxygen. This is a big leap for someone who hates running before.

Yesterday, I had a major breakthrough! I actually ran for 10 minutes, continuously! For fitness buffs and marathoners, that is nothing but for me, it has never happened in my whole life!

And instead of being tired after work, I feel a lot more energized and alert during the day if I ran the night before. Exercise really does the body good. I hope to continue doing this everyday.

I am losing some weight slowly but I am not in a hurry. The renewed feeling every after exercise at the end of the day is enough to inspire me to continue this for the next months.

Now I can race with my daughter in the park without her stopping and looking back at me saying, “faster mom, faster!”
