Take care and God Bless
family October 14th, 2008This is how we always end our online chats, with sweet words saying, take care and God bless.
Mostly, I chat with men. The chats are often short, straight to the point and the ending is always sweet. We say our how are you’s then the main topic and in a few minutes (10 minutes is long) I get the ending line.
I miss the men in my life. The men I cared for so much, the men who I once saw as babies, grew up together and play with. I miss those times when we see each other every single day, even if we don’t like it. The bad times but mostly, good times together. The precious moments I could not trade for the world.
One of “my men” graduated from sea man’s academy today and I am so darn proud of him. He went through hell and high waters, even contemplated on quitting thinking he could not make it through the rigid physical training. Those were dark moments when I could only held his hand from afar, think and pray for him.
He went on with the training and months after, I met
him again - he turned into a completely different person physically. His body evolved into something new, a result of the physical training but inside, he was just the same. The same sweet man who would tell me anything and everything. He even gave me tips how to trim down my waist, stating which exercises to do and how much!

~ two of my men and our father (J is the one on the right) ~My brother J, one of the special men in my life will be facing a new and challenging chapter in his life. He is off to work aboard ships going around the world. I am again anxious of his life ahead at the same time, unable to control the tears of pride and joy he has given.
