It’s my party and I’ll do what I want to
Pristine’s school will close on December 17 for the year-end holidays. Yeah, they are closing for the year-end at the middle of the month! Now, her 4th birthday is on December 23, a week after they close so we need to celebrate her birthday at school a week ahead. Children celebrate their birthdays in school, in fact, they so look forward to it. Nothing fancy, parents just need to bring a cake with candles to blow, some party hats and little bags of goodies.
My daughter is in the age where she is aware of some characters from the books and movies so I asked her, what cake theme would you like? Cinderella, Peter Pan or Snow White. “Snow White”, she excitingly answers.
After a few days just to be sure, I ask again. “What cake would you like? Peter Pan, Snow White or Cinderella?” “Cinderella!”, came the reply, as exciting as the previous one. Hmmm, we might have a problem here so I asked her one last time,”We need to pick one cake, you know. Can you please tell me which one you want?”
“I want Beauty and the Beast!”, the latest book I got her must have rubbed in to her really nice. She kept on insisting we get the cake with Belle and Beast on it but the cake shop said they don’t have it.
“Ok, mom, we’ll just have Barbie.”

She sure has no problem either way
My girls loved the Smurfs!! That was an easy one to make. Lots of blue frosting!!!
confusing ne?…
she just settled for the barbie?! .. i’m sorry that she didn’t get what she originally chose but i’m sure it wouldn’t matter in her party when she’ll be blowing the candle and everyone singing happy birthday for her!
