Yesterday, I was invited by a friend SD who lives in Dubai too for cocktail party at one of the bars here. It was great to finally meet her.

It was my first cocktail drink in more than a year. Gee, I thought I’d forgotten how alcohol tastes like. The party was interesting as I met few of SD’s friends and each had a fascinating story to tell about life in Dubai.  One unfortunate thing was, the bar music was too loud that we could barely hear each other. A little microphone could have been helpful!

Don’t you just wonder why restaurants and bars make their background music too loud people had to scream on top of their voices?
