Over at Borders at the Mall of the Emirates, I have found two books I bought for Pristine. Actually, I wanted to hoard on the books I found there but alas, my wallet complained and I had to limit to two.
This is always a problem for me - I go to a mall where lots and lots of clothing retail stores abound and yet somehow, I always end up spending lots of time in a book store. And just when I thought I’d be stucked in the magazines, self-improvement or novel section, I always end up in the children’s section. I am absorbed in a time warp in that section. I love children’s books.

Thumper Finds a Friend is a Disney book so what can you expect but irresistibly cute illustrations and a heartwarming tale that you can’t get enough of night after night after night!
The Tale of Squirrel Nutkin is one of the English author, Beatrix Potter’s collection. There are 24 of these cute little books and Squirrel Nutkin in the 2nd one in the series. I was not able to find Peter Rabbit so I bought this one.
The moment I finished reading this to Pristine, she immediately screamed with delight, “again, Mom, again!!”
I, myself love Beatrix Potter’s stories (after watching the movie Miss Potter starring Renee Zelwegger, if you’re curious) and I plan to buy all the collection.
A wonderful book that opens up a child’s limitless imagination and of course, the precious bonding time of parent and child is my idea of how to end a day perfectly.
