My name is Grace and I am a mom of a wonderful daughter who turned 4 years old last December. I married my college sweetheart whom I met when I was studying in Japan. Before, I never even dreamed of being in an interracial marriage, I even swore to my friends I won’t but I guess destiny has her own rules.
People say that the babe doesn’t look like me at all but I guess I just have been shortchanged in the DNA battle! She is my daughter, really although I get questioned every time I take her to the park or to the mall and people ask if I am her nanny! What would you do if it happened to you? 
Maids and live-in nannies are quite common here so, I don’t take it too seriously.
We now live in Dubai, United Arab Emirates since last year. Ring a bell? Yes, I am behind the Sandier Pastures blog, if you have been there or blog hopped from there. I keep this separate blog to write more about parenting and being a mom.

Hello Grace! It’s so nice to meet you - I live in New Jersey, USA and was really interested in learning about your life in Dubai - 2 out of 4 of my kids are down with the flu and I’m on the verge of feeling yucky. Oh, I don’t know, I see some of you in her. *smile* My two boys are polar opposites, one is brown-haired, brown-eyed, the other blonde-haired and blue-eyed so I know what you mean about the questions, but I ususally get the, “are they from the same father?”
LOL! I don’t take offense because truly, they look nothing alike. And YES, they are from the same father. *grin*

Hello! I have been asked the nanny thing. And honestly, I HATE it! I don’t get asked that very often anymore, but I was 20 when I had my first and apparently just looked far to young to be the mother!
