Welcome to the Ultimate Blog Party!

Gray Cee on Mar-7-2008

There a blog party going on at 5 minutes for mom and I am going to join the fun. You can hop in too!

youre-invited.jpg

My name is Grace and I am a mom of a wonderful daughter who turned 4 years old last December. I married my college sweetheart whom I met when I was studying in Japan. Before, I never even dreamed of being in an interracial marriage, I even swore to my friends I won’t but I guess destiny has her own rules.

we don't look alike

People say that the babe doesn’t look like me at all but I guess I just have been shortchanged in the DNA battle! She is my daughter, really although I get questioned every time I take her to the park or to the mall and people ask if I am her nanny! What would you do if it happened to you? :-) Maids and live-in nannies are quite common here so, I don’t take it too seriously.

We now live in Dubai, United Arab Emirates since last year. Ring a bell? Yes, I am behind the Sandier Pastures blog, if you have been there or blog hopped from there. I keep this separate blog to write more about parenting and being a mom.

Thanks for visiting. I can’t wait to meet you so please leave me a comment so I can blog hop to your place whether you’re hosting the ultimate blog party or not!

  1. Liz Said,

Hello Grace! It’s so nice to meet you - I live in New Jersey, USA and was really interested in learning about your life in Dubai - 2 out of 4 of my kids are down with the flu and I’m on the verge of feeling yucky. So, a party is just what I need. Thanks for having us and enjoy the rest of your week!

  2. Natalie Said,

Hi, so nice to meet you! I have been looking forward to this party all week as I have been trapped in the house with a sick little one! Stop by my blog about our corner of the world in Texas!

  3. Liza's Eyeview Said,

Nice to blog=meet you! I often visit you at Sandier Pastures Blog (we are in the same Blogher group), but this is my first time here. I like this blog (I love being a mom!). I’d visit here often too. I invite you to stop by my little party also :)

By the way, from where are you originally? I’m in an “inter-racial marriage” too :).

    Liza

  17. Write From Karen Said,

Oh, I don’t know, I see some of you in her. *smile* My two boys are polar opposites, one is brown-haired, brown-eyed, the other blonde-haired and blue-eyed so I know what you mean about the questions, but I ususally get the, “are they from the same father?”

LOL! I don’t take offense because truly, they look nothing alike. And YES, they are from the same father. *grin*

    Talk to ya later! *wave*
