Aloha Friday #8
Gray Cee on Jan-4-2008

What did you do when you woke up on January 1, 2008?
I woke up at 8:30 am even if I slept at 2am the night before. The body clock just wouldn’t allow me to stay in bed longer. I went online to check emails then proceeded to sweep the confettis scattered on the floor.
Aloha Friday is a weekly posting all in the spirit of fun and relaxation. No heavy, brain-stormed posts, just ask a simple question for readers to answer in the comments. Visit the Aloha Friday HQ @ An Island Life.

We didn’t get up until 10:30 am. I wish all days were like that! LOL!
After that, we just read the paper and waited for the Sugar Bowl to start. A very lazy New Years Day.
I don’t remember exactly what time, but I’m sure I brushed my teeth and then went to get the baby. She isn’t old enough to understand the pleasure of sleeping in yet!
Our daughter woke us up around 9am, then we had breakfast. After that, we took down Christmas decorations.
My youngest woke up at 6:30am. So I was up with her wishing I was back in my nice cozy warm bed with my husband.
I watched the Rose Parade, made Happy New Year phone calls and enjoyed a nice quiet day with my husband.
I woke up around 8, had some breakfast, got ready and was out the door by 9. I picked up my 19 year old at his friends house and he and I headed to the ferry. We walked on the ferry and our friend picked us up on the other side of the water. We sat around, ate raw fish, dips, appetizers..then the rest of my family met us there, (they were at our nephews) so we played pictionary and then watched the Sugar Bowl………Oops we also had a prime rib dinner! YUMMERS
I got to sleep in on New Year’s Day - I think the first thing I did when I woke up was to snuggle with my youngest for a while. We had a nice, low-key morning and then visited friends in the afternoon and evening.
I checked on my son because he had fever. I was sad because he was sick on the first day of the year but I’m glad that he is doing much better now.
i really can’t remember! .. probably our usual routine - get up, feed the baby, he goes back to sleep so I went back to sleep, and woke up for lunch!
We slept in ’til about 10, then took down Christmas decorations. Then we made a big turkey dinner. It was the 4th big dinner in 2 months (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Eve, New Years Day) and I’m looking forward to 10 turkey free months
I didn’t sleep ’til 2AM after confirming that Shaynna was getting better. Then I woke up at 6AM to ask for updates, then ate.
I turned on the Rose Parade. I love parades!
