(If you are married) How old were you when you got married? Was it close to your desired age to get married?
(If you’re single) At what age do you plan to marry?
I got married when I was 27 but when I was 12, I thought I’d get married at 24, have 4 children by the time I’m 30. I guess we can’t really predict these things correctly.

24 the first time, 28 the second. There is no “desired” age. People marry when they feel ready. Unfortunately, they frequently misjudge.
As for the second part of your question . . . never. If something happened to the hubs or we split, I would never marry again under any circumstances. There would be no reason for me to ever do it again since I don’t need someone’s money and my kids are big. I wouldn’t even live with another person. They would need to have their house & come visit me in mine.

got married at 25 which is pretty much the age i planned to get married, but i didn’t get married just because i was 25. everything just fell into place …

I got married at 24. I thought this age was perfect for me because I was WAY too immature to get married before then.

I was also 27. My desired age - I think I thought, like you, around age 24, and weird, also like you, I had a vague idea of 4 kids by 30. I ended up with 4 kids by 34.

I had just turned 20 when I married in 1976. That marriage lasted over 23 years. In 2000 I was 45 when I married my Prince Charming.

I remember how much I cried on my 25th birthday because I was not married yet! I had thought for certain that I would be married with a few kids by then. I only just married last year, March 2007. I turned 35 this year. Yikes! 35 sounds so old! We hope to have children soon!

I was 28. That was pretty close, although I thought I’d be married at 25 and have two kids by the time I was 30. When I look back at the guy I was with when I was 25 I am SO HAPPY it didn’t turn out that way… *shudder*

Great question! I was 28 when I got married. When I was in my teens, I remember thinking that I simply MUST be married and have my first baby before I turned 30 — so I guess I fulfilled my “goal”

I got married at 20. When I was younger, I thought that it would be 24 because that’s when my parents got married.
