Do you prefer prescription glasses or contact lenses? (that is, if your vision is not perfect 20/20)

I only need glasses while at work, in the movie houseĀ and driving because though my vision is not perfect, I see better with glasses than with none. To answer my own question, I prefer glasses since I’m too chicken to wear contacts.

  1. Jennifer in OR Said,

I prefer contacts. BUT I can’t always wear them. I need help with my vision - for driving, watching a movie, anything distance. But, like right now, my allergies do such a number on my eyes, and they are always red and itching from the pollen, so I have to only wear glasses for several months of the year.

  2. Charlotte (Charmed Life) Said,

so far, i don’t need help with my vision yet… but if i do, i’d probably use glasses for regular use, and contacts for when I have to dress-up.

  3. Jen @ JenuineJen Said,

I’m 37 and so far I have not needed glasses. I think I would prefer surgery to correct my vision if I needed either one.

  4. Christine Said,

I’ve needed glasses since i was 16, and I tried to wear contacts, but my eyes just didn’t like them. I actually have prescription glasses that tint for when I’m in the sun.

  5. Heather Said,

I am blind as a bat without some sort of correction. But I don’t see as well with glasses as with contacts, so I definitely prefer my contacts!

  6. Anne Said,

    contact lens

  7. Tiffany Said,

Definitely contacts! I hate how I lose a lot of my peripheral vision with my glasses.

  8. shiera Said,

I prefer contact lenses but they’re expensive so I have no choice but to use eyeglasses.

  9. Cathi Said,

About six months ago my opthamologist gave me two pair of contact lenses; a mono pair and a bifocal pair. I have tried to wear them however, it takes me FOREVER to get them in and the last time I did, it literally took me over two hours to get one of them out. My husband, who is an experienced contact wearer, said he couldn’t believe the contact didn’t flush out with my tears because I was crying so hard.
    I wear glasses.

  10. kailani Said,

Before Lasik it was definitely contacts. Wearing glasses gave me a headache.
