Where is the farthest from home you’ve ever been?

Mine was to the Netherlands, 2 years ago.

Aloha Friday is a weekly posting all in the spirit of fun and relaxation. No heavy, brain-stormed posts, just ask a simple question for readers to answer in the comments. Visit the Aloha Friday HQ @ An Island Life.

  1. Charlotte (Charmed Life) Said,

    … japan!

  2. Deborah Said,

I’m there now! In Australia. I was born and raised in Michigan. I married a wonderful Aussie man last March. We married on a Saturday, hopped a plane in Chicago on Sunday, landed in Brisbane on Monday! Whew! Whirlwind! And….I had never been to Australia before. My husband and I do plan to relocate to America in a year or two, though.

  3. Rosie Said,

I live in the UK, the furthest I’ve been from home in the US - we went to Disneyland in Florida - brilliant!

  4. Tiffany Said,

We went to Canada for our honeymoon and 5 year anniversary. It was a lot of fun! I also went with my husband to a work conference in Seattle. I am not sure which is farther since I live in Missouri. Probably Seattle even though it is still in the states.

  5. diana/sunshine Said,

unfortunately.. never very far. hawaii would have to be the furthest.

  6. Christine Said,

To me it was like, not only being far away from home, but taking a trip back through time. I visited a suburban town two hours south of Mexico City for almost a month. I couldn’t wait to get home.

  7. Anne Said,

I would have to say california when i went to visit my cousins and uncle

  8. bonggamom Said,

I live in California; the farthest I have been is Helsinki, Finland.

  9. Ellen Said,

I went to Budapest, Hungary when I was 18.

  10. kailani Said,

I guess it would have to be Boston. My ex was attending UMASS.

  11. Deb - Mom of 3 Girls Said,

Hmm, that would have to be California. I’ve been to San Diego, Fresno and San Francisco.
