My grandmother used to tell me Naughty Little Goldilocks. She had it memorized. It was a poem…not the Three Bears story book. I found it years later when I was doing my student teaching and used it for a project for my Children’s Literature Course. As a child, I begged grandma to repeat it over and over as I fell asleep. Now my nephew begs for it from his grandma, my mother. I don’t have children yet…but, Lord willing, soon! And, they will fall asleep also to Naughty Little Goldilocks.

It really varies from day to day. Becca loves anything ‘Dora’ right now and Abby and Hannah rotate among several favorites each. Lately they’ve been wanting a lot of our Berenstein Bears books.

Goodnight Moon. I don’t know that it’s their favorite, but they request it each and every night. We’ve read, um recited, that book to them every night since they were born . . . my son is now 7 1/2 and my daughter is 5 . . . and they STILL want to hear it ever. single. night.

When I was young I had a “365 Bedtime Stories” book. It’s the only one I remember so that must be the one!

At the moment my 4 year old (girl) loves Cinderella. She is going through her princess stage at the moment. It was Snow White a few weeks’ ago. The princess stories are good fun but they all seem a bit similar after a while!

She is afraid of Hansel and Gretel!

It is a toss-up between “Little Bunny Follows His Nose” (a scratch & sniff book) and “Are You My Mother.” I found both for our daughter and I love reading them to her.
