running around the neighborhood
fitness October 26th, 2008I woke up at 5:15 am today to start my new routine. I figured out that exercising after work is difficult for me. I didn’t renew my gym membership after coming back from my summer vacation because the fees have gone up unreasonably. I thought, I would just jog around and do stretches/weights at home.
My fitness routine escalated downhill from that decision. Who am I kidding? Once I come home, the kid awaits, the kitchen calls for attention and mom is always there for a chit-chat. No exercise done. Then I’ll feel guilty leaving Pristine to my mom again so I could jog around in the neighborhood. Pristine on the other hand, won’t let me go.
So I changed my schedule. Sleep early and wake up early, sleep with my trainers on so when I wake up in the morning, all I need to do is wear my socks and shoes and out before 5:30 am. I ran/brisk walked around a vacant parking space near our apartment building. Thirty minutes later, I welcomed sunrise with a new energy boost.
I hope this works. It was my first day out today and I am glad I was able to do it. I really feel much better when I am physically active than just living a sedentary lifestyle, eating chips.
I hope to do this again tomorrow.
