Poem reading - All things bright and beautiful

Gray Cee on Jun-10-2008

I don’t know if there’s anyone who haven’t heard or read about this wonderful poem written by Cecil F. Alexander. All Things Bright and Beautiful is an old, old poem written in 1848 and have been passed from generation to generation.

I loved this poem and will certainly pass it to Pristine.

1. All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.
2. Each little flower that opens,
Each little bird that sings,
He made their glowing colours,
He made their tiny wings.
3. The rich man in his castle,
The poor man at his gate,
God made them, high or lowly,
And order’d their estate.
4. The purple headed mountains,
The river running by,
The sunset and the morning,
That brightens up the sky;?
5. The cold wind in the winter,
The pleasant summer sun,
The ripe fruits in the garden,?
He made them every one:
6. The tall trees in the greenwood,
The meadows where we play,
The rushes by the water,
We gather every day;?
7. He gave us eyes to see them,
And lips that we might tell,
How great is God Almighty,
Who has made all things well.
