calling all geniuses of the world

Gray Cee on Apr-17-2008

Pristine’s teacher asked me to buy a plain white t-shirt with collar for their school program. Since my office is near a department store, I went during lunch time. I went through racks and racks of children’s clothes and had trouble picking the right size because my daughter was not there. I kept on taking out the shirt in the ramp and used my bare imagination to pick the right size.

I finally went home picking up a size XS because it was the size that should fit her and though it was a little bit big for her small size, it was the smallest.

BUT my mother disagreed and told me I should have bought size S since it’s smaller than XS. Huh??

Inside my unsophisticated mommy brain, it’s XS/S/M/L/XL/… and so on but my mother argued that since XL is bigger than L, XS must be bigger than S. I know the analogy kind of make sense but,

I BEG YOUR PARDON!!??

So I called the hubby and asked him. He scratched his head and sided with - - my mother!! Just horrible. Three adults doing some discussion with the toddler holding her shirt on the background, wide-eyed and veery curious!

I searched the net and confirmed I am right. The other two adults in the house did NOT budge!! So please heed my plea, you geniuses of the bloggy world - - answer my question,

is XS smaller than S, or bigger?

I feel I am right that XS is smaller than S in all accounts. So can someone step up and side with me!?
