save or explode!
M and I want to instill the idea of saving for the rainy days to our daughter. Saving is important and we believe that teaching her the value of money should start this early.
When we were still in Japan, we have 4 piggy banks: one for each of us and one for charity. We religiously put one 100 yen coin every single day. It has become a part of our daily routine. Pristine is thrilled with piggy banks and the ritual of putting a coin and hearing the sound as it lands at the bottom. My husband is very keen on keeping this habit so we don’t miss a day without putting coin in it. But what happens to people who promise themselves to daily feed the piggy bank and misses out as the days pass by?

If you are in Japan, you are in luck because a product has been developed to keep your promise to save a penny a day. The exploding piggy bank, only available in Japan, explodes and scatters coins all over if you fail to save for a long time.
I’d say the idea is brilliant! Would you buy it?

I am thankful for my husband who is financially aware. He reads books on how to manage finances and puts his knowledge in action. he keeps the family’s finances well in balance by strict monitoring and forecasts. He inspires me to save more and buy only the things I need. My view of money is forever changed because of him. We are not rich but we are together, striving for a better financial state.
