Is my ring giving me *signals*?
If you see me, chances are you would comment that my style is boring. I don’t wear accessories around my neck, except for one necklace I bought with my first allowance from a scholarship grant 11 years ago. I don’t wear dangling earrings. I have only one watch.
The reason behind this all is that, I am nickel-allergic. I don’t like blings or wear them unless they are real. I itch the moment a fashion earring touches my skin. I itch with silver, I itch with metals unless they are made of platinum or at least 18K gold. Ha! Am I feeling like a princess or what?
The wedding band I am wearing is made of platinum. There was no question about it when we decided to search for that one ring we’d use for the rest of our lives. Silver was not an option and I find gold rings too shiny. *grin*. I haven’t had any problem at all with this piece of jewellry since I wore it 4 years ago - until lately when the skin under the ring started to itch.
It is itching, so I scratched it. I guess I scratched it too badly, exposing some red flesh. Ewww. Why this allergic reaction now? My marriage is running very smooth and there is no reason to remove the ring, whatsoever. Is it trying to get out of my possession? I hope not, I my fingers feel very different without the ring on.
